About this class
Class meets Wednesday \ Wednesday for 4 weeks. This ICAgile-accredited course focuses on customer happiness, product discovery and delivering winning products in a competitive landscape. You will learn all about the product life cycle, market research, understanding the customer, the careful balance between market conditions, business strategy and tactical delivery. As a Product Manager you will learn how to align product strategy with your organizations purpose as well as understanding the customer needs by building a product from start to finish. This certification is relevant for Business Analysts, Product Owners, Product Managers and Business Subject Matter Experts, will provide you an excellent foundation for Product Management.

John Persoon

John is a Scrum Master based in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota, USA. John started his career as a software developer, moving into agile facilitation roles in 2008. He has experience in several industries, including educational software, printing and publishing, manufacturing, safety, digital platform security, cloud computing services, on-line retail, medical devices, and agriculture, including agricultural finance. He is passionate about helping students understand not only the what and how of agile, but more importantly why. Currently a consultant at Daugherty Business Solutions, he is accredited to be an instructor for ICAgile classes including ICAgile Professional (ICP), Agile Business Foundations (BAF), Agile Team Facilitator (ATF), Agile Product Owner (APO), Enterprise Product Owner (EPO), Agile Project and Delivery Management (APM), Delivery at Scale (DAS), Foundations of DevOps (FDO) and Product Management (PDM).

Barbara Brown Hiles

Barbara Brown Hiles has been helping clients solve business problems for over 40 years. The last 11 years she has been working in healthcare and pharmaceuticals as both a Product Owner and Delivery Manager. Agile Delivery is her passion... so much so that she has developed many of the ICAgile Certified courses that Daugherty offers. She is an ICAgile Certified Instructor and has ICAgile Certifications for Agile Product Ownership, Product Management, Enterprise Product Ownership, Agile Delivery Management, Delivery at Scale, Agile Team Facilitation and Business Agility, among others. She has also earned the Certified Business Analysis Professional from the International Institute for Business Analysis.

ICAgile does not have any prerequisites, but occasionally a training provider may have their own. Please check the training provider’s website to see if there are specific prerequisites for the class you are interested in.

Through the accreditation process, ICAgile verifies that every training provider assesses student knowledge before the student earns a certificate. Assessment may be completed through in-class activities, group exercises, or an exam, as determined by the training provider. Please contact the training provider to find out if an exam is required to earn a certification.

Once you have earned an ICAgile-accredited certification, the certification is yours to keep. We don’t charge any renewal fees or require continuing education credits. We want you to be able to invest your time and resources into continuing your learning journey.
