About this class
For our organisations to survive and thrive in this fast-paced, volatile, uncertain, and complex world, we need to reconsider our organisation design to be more adaptive and resilient. This requires the ability to look broader than the team or multi-team divisional level, and see the whole organisation as a complex adaptive system. Seeing how the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, and how the parts contribute. Enterprise Agile Coaching is a 4 half-day learning experience to provide you with effective tools and frameworks for navigating and coaching the enterprise. The course is a highly interactive combination of instructor led discussions and team-based exercises. It’s not just reading through a slide pack. Participants will receive the Certified Professional in Enterprise Agile Coaching (ICP-ENT) certification from International Consortium for Agile (ICAgile) upon successful completion of this course, as well as achieving the Voyager digital badge from Lean Change Management Association. To qualify for ICP-ENT participants are required to demonstrate knowledge, skills and mindset of an Enterprise Coach. Participants are assessed through a combination of exercises, in-class activities, and showing how to apply the learning outcomes during the course. Course Outline Business and Complexity: The internal and external forces shaping our transformations and how your organisation dances within its ecosystem Organising the Organisation: The four tenets of organisational design: how people are grouped, how groups are linked to get work done, how work is aligned toward a higher purpose, and how we know whether it’s working Disruption and Change: How organisations cope with increasing disruption and reduced control over their destiny Unleashing People: Create an engine for change by recognising and respecting the similarities and differences between people Facilitating Across Boundaries: Proven framework for getting people ready to dissolve the old organisation design and experiment with new models. Training from the Back of the Room: Deeply immersive and highly interactive course, whether in person or online; designed using the latest adult learning techniques that recognise and build on your current knowledge Inclusions A digital copy of the Lean Change Management and Change Agility books by Jason Little ICP-ENT Enterprise Agile Coaching certificate from ICAgile Digital Voyager badge from Lean Change Management Association 3-month member access to the LeanChange.org site to continue your learning Connections with the global Lean Change community 30 days free access to AgileVideos.com Access to EPiC Training Alumni LinkedIn Community (free goodies and future discounts) Learning Objectives Understanding the concepts of business agility and how they extend beyond team-level to the whole organisation and exploring organisational factors that support or hinder agility Reframing current structure, systems, and processes to model how they can be made more agile Understanding value streams from a systems thinking perspective, including how to use an agile approach to improve end-to-end business processes Assessing leadership styles and culture to identify how well agile adoption is supported or inhibited, and propose approaches to improve leadership relationships and effectiveness.
