Responding to a fast-changing business world requires a value-driven, iterative, and adaptive approach to championing, facilitating, validating, and optimizing the delivery of value. The Value-Driven Product Ownership is designed for all product /service champions regardless of title who are charged with maximizing value delivered by addressing the needs of the users and customers in a way that also creates value for their organizations. Methodology agnostic, this virtual class offers an engaging and immersive experience where the participants will learn the mindset, skills, and techniques to navigate delivering complex products by taking a value-driven, customer-centric, and collaborative approach. They will apply the process of eliciting requirements aligned to a shared product vision, facilitating a shared understanding of value, making value-driven decisions, and validating outcomes anchored in optimizing for value while working through a case study, and will gain confidence in Product Management and Agile techniques and practices like Personas, Product Vision, Story Mapping, MVP (or MLP) identification, Prioritization Models, Progressive Elaboration, User Stories, Relative Estimation, Story Slicing, Acceptance Criteria and more.

This class is delivered using an Agile approach with 4 x 4-hour virtual live-instructor sessions delivered on 2 consecutive Wednesdays and Thursdays. Learning is augmented with additional asynchronous work. Participants who complete this class earn the ICAgile ICP-APO certification.

Anjali Leon

Anjali is the Founding Principal at PPL Coach - a boutique training, coaching, and consulting practice that specializes in Product Thinking and Creative Collaboration. She co-created Product Leadership Stances, a meta-model that taps into the creative stances and energy systems for holistic (product) leadership. Anjali's work is informed by a set of life-tested principles and distilled wisdom acquired from 25 years of organizational, technology, product, and entrepreneurial leadership experience; and expertise in professional coaching, product management, Lean, Agile, human-centered design, and software engineering. She has a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Drexel University and several professional certifications including ICAgile Expert in Agile Coaching, accredited instructor through ICAgile and ProKanban.org, and Professional Coaching through CTI. As an active member of the Lean, Agile, and tech communities, She is a frequent speaker, advisory board member, and community organizer. Most recently I started and co-lead HitRefresh, a workplace resilience, and wellbeing-focused virtual community.

Through the accreditation process, ICAgile verifies that every training provider assesses student knowledge before the student earns a certificate. Assessment may be completed through in-class activities, group exercises, or an exam, as determined by the training provider. Please contact the training provider to find out if an exam is required to earn a certification.

Once you have earned an ICAgile-accredited certification, the certification is yours to keep. We don’t charge any renewal fees or require continuing education credits. We want you to be able to invest your time and resources into continuing your learning journey.
