David has coached a variety of individuals and companies (ranging from start-ups to traditional organisations) over a range of industries (including pharma, travel, health, fashion, wine, government, automotive and finance). He is currently conducting doctoral research into how humour can be used effectively in coaching (at Oxford Brookes), has a post-graduate certificate in Business & Personal Coaching from University of Chester, is certified by the International Coach Federation as a Professional Certified Coach, as well as having a bundle of agile-related qualifications. David is heavily involved in the Agile and Lean communities: he founded the London Agile Discussion Group, Agile on the Bench and London Lean Coffee, and speaks at conferences and events around the world. He is the author of ‘The Innovation Revelation: A story about how to satisfy customer needs‘, ‘The Lemonade Stall: How to test and validate ideas‘ and ‘Scrum 101: the most frequently asked questions about Agile with Scrum‘, as well as the host of THE COACH’S BACKPACK podcast.

ICAgile does not have any prerequisites, but occasionally a training provider may have their own. Please check the training provider’s website to see if there are specific prerequisites for the class you are interested in.

Through the accreditation process, ICAgile verifies that every training provider assesses student knowledge before the student earns a certificate. Assessment may be completed through in-class activities, group exercises, or an exam, as determined by the training provider. Please contact the training provider to find out if an exam is required to earn a certification.

Once you have earned an ICAgile-accredited certification, the certification is yours to keep. We don’t charge any renewal fees or require continuing education credits. We want you to be able to invest your time and resources into continuing your learning journey.
