ASPE’s Yvette Francino, is an experienced Agile Leader, Author and Trainer specializing in Distributed Agile, and an expert in various methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and custom methodologies using Agile practices. With over 25 years in the software development industry as a senior leader, Yvette has worked with a variety of teams, coaching them for success and continuous improvement. Yvette began her career as a software developer in the 80’s working for IBM for 11 years and later as a Development and QA Manager with Sun Microsystems for another 11 years. Even before the Agile Manifesto was crafted, Yvette rolled out methodologies and coached teams on iterative development, business collaboration, and continuous improvement. When those practices became solidified in Agile methodologies, she easily earned her CSM, continuing to help teams reach their full potential with Scrum and Agile practices. Though Agile promotes face-to-face communication, Yvette has been working with global teams throughout her career, harnessing the power of diverse and distributed teams, helping them to gain the trust necessary for strong teamwork, and to overcome challenges associated with working in different geographies. Thanks to the advancements in technology and ALM tools, teams can now enjoy the flexibility that comes with working from anywhere and the collaboration, trust and connection that comes from face-to-face communication.
