Ethann Castell

Ethann Castell is a seasoned Agile practitioner, trainer, and coach with over 15 years of experience leading Agile transformations across government, enterprise, education, and consulting sectors. An ICAgile Authorised Instructor and certified across multiple ICAgile tracks (ICP, ICP-ACC, ICP-ATF, ICP-EPO, ICP-APM, ICP-DAS, ICP-AHR), he specialises in embedding practical, sustainable ways of working. He has delivered ICAgile-accredited courses to diverse audiences, consistently achieving high participant satisfaction and Net Promoter Scores (NPS) of +70. Drawing on his early experience as a software developer, business analyst, project manager, and startup founder, Ethann brings grounded, real-world insight to his training and coaching—making complex ideas accessible and actionable. Ethann has significant experience working with both business and software development teams, enabling true cross-functional collaboration and enterprise-wide agility. His background includes senior roles at Accenture, bp, Nomura, and Western Sydney University, where he led large-scale Agile adoptions and designed Agile operating models. He also teaches postgraduate product management and innovation subjects at RMIT Online, is a published author, an Atlassian Community Leader, and a member of the Agile Australia Brains Trust.

ICAgile does not have any prerequisites, but occasionally a training provider may have their own. Please check the training provider’s website to see if there are specific prerequisites for the class you are interested in.

Through the accreditation process, ICAgile verifies that every training provider assesses student knowledge before the student earns a certificate. Assessment may be completed through in-class activities, group exercises, or an exam, as determined by the training provider. Please contact the training provider to find out if an exam is required to earn a certification.

Once you have earned an ICAgile-accredited certification, the certification is yours to keep. We don’t charge any renewal fees or require continuing education credits. We want you to be able to invest your time and resources into continuing your learning journey.
